Volunteers are happy to collect signatures in the easiest way possible for you.

There are a series of public signing events - you don't even need to leave your car! A volunteer will ask if you are a registered voter, San Angelo resident, and which recall petition you would like to sign. Volunteers will also verify which Single Member District you reside in to check your eligibility for a recall petition for Councilman Thomas or Councilman Self.

Why recall petitions for Councilman Thomas and Councilman Self?

The reasons for the recall petition are:

Failure to disclose material facts, timelines, and supporting documentation related to the Skybox data center project that are of clear public interest and relevance.

Failure to promote to support adequate public review prior to major zoning and infrastructure decisions.

Failure to meaningfully investigate, address, to publicly respond to substantial constituent concerns and professionally presented information regarding infrastructure, governance, transparency, and long-term community consequences of a high-impact, hyperscale zoning and land-use project.

Failure to seek and publicly provide clear answers to significant constituent questions regarding the full scope of the data center project.

Failure to promote meaningful and functional citizen engagement in a matter of significant community impact.
Failure to advocate for timely transparency and public disclosure regarding records sought under the Texas Public Information Act (TPIA), raising concerns regarding adherence to the San Angelo Charter Code of Ethics for Members of San Angelo City Council and Boards and Commissions.

Failure to uphold ethical obligations including transparency, fairness, and open governance, as reflected in applicable City of San Angelo Code of Ethics principles, including:

- Participating in major public decisions without sufficient transparency and public engagement
- Sharing substantive information relevant to public decision-making
- Acting impartially and in the public interest
